What to Expect

How interlock services work in the state of Oklahoma.

IDAP Program

If you’ve been arrested for a DUI or APC in Oklahoma on or after 11/1/22, you are required to participate in the Impaired Driver Accountability Program (IDAP). If you successfully complete the program, the license revocation will not appear on your driving record. Under this program, you will have an ignition interlock device (IID) installed on any vehicle you drive and the interlock will stay on vehicle(s) for the same time period your license would be revoked. Below are some of the ways the IDAP program benefits you.

It reduces the amount of fees you will be required to pay to the State.

It prevents any revocation from appearing on your driving record.

It saves you a considerable amount of time otherwise spent in court.

Restore Your Freedom on the Road

In 5 Easy Steps

  1. Apply for IDAP on the Oklahoma.gov website.
  2. Once you have received the IDAP Enrollment Guide, schedule to get your interlock installed by us in the vehicle(s) you plan to drive.
  3. After the installation, complete enrollment and pay the IDAP program fee by using the link provided in the IDAP Enrollment Guide.
  4. Once you have received the IDAP Confirmation of Enrollment letter via email, you can deliver the letter to Service Oklahoma to obtain a restricted Driver’s License.
  5. When you have met the tentative completion date (found on the Confirmation of Enrollment), you may request a review for a Certificate of Completion.

DOs

  • Rinse your mouth out with water before taking a test to avoid contaminants.
  • Use soap and water to clean the mouthpieces regularly. Dry before use.
  • Take retests when requested. You will hear two high-pitched beeps when it is time.
  • Clear any obstruction from your camera before testing, e.g. hats.

DON’Ts

  • Do not use mouthwash, hand sanitizer, perfume, or other products containing alcohol before starting your vehicle.
  • Do not allow others to blow into the device for you and then drive. This is a violation.
  • Do not blow smoke from a vape or cigarette into the device.
  • Do not leave your vehicle running unattended.
